Heat the oven grill to high. Meanwhile, pour a little of the oil from the tuna into a wide ovenproof sauté pan and fry the garlic over medium heat for about 2 minutes. Pour in the chopped tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in the tuna, basil, olives and season with salt and pepper.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to packet instructions. Drain, then stir into the sauce. Top with the cheese and breadcrumbs. Place the oveproof sauté pan in the oven and grill for about 5 minutes, until melted. Garnish with remaining fresh basil and serve.
